Mark Information supports project to improve education in Africa

On 29 May 2016, a small team of 2 from Cintra – a business partner within HR and payroll services – participated in the 90 kilometres Comrades Marathon in South Africa.

The purpose of taking part in the race was to raise money to improve education in Africa in close collaboration with the international children’s charity organisation COCO. The goal was to raise £5,000 to build a classroom for Mercy Primary, located in a small rural community on the shores of Lake Victoria in Kenya. The project is part of the ‘Schools for Life’ programme seeking to provide sustainable solutions to the problems preventing children from accessing education.

Mark Information took the opportunity to support a good cause and a business partner taking on an extraordinary and tough challenge by donating £300 to the project.

And the results? One member of the Cintra team completed the race in 9:22:27, the other one had to leave the race after approx. 60 kilometres. The team managed to raise approx. £1,400 and every penny raised will go to the project.

Great initiative and congratulations on the results!
