Software Development Engineers

Mark Information is looking for a number of Software Development Engineers to expand our development effort

Mark Information is experiencing rapid growth both in terms of customers and development. The company has for many years been a niche player in the North-European ERP market specializing in IT systems for collection of actual real-time production data.

Mark Information is now launching a SOA development project, which will migrate the core product ProMark from a client-server architecture to SOA and 3-tier architecture. We are using Progress OpenEdge and Eclipse as our development platform.

You will need to work as an individual in a team of dedicated and experienced people, where the personal and professional skills are equally important.

Your primary assignments:

  • Preparing design specifications
  • Coding
  • Testing
  • Bug fixing

Your profile:

The applicants we are looking for have the following preferred technical qualifications (one or more):

  • Experienced as a developer (Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree).
  • Strong design skills, especially in object oriented design.
  • Coding experience in an object oriented language (C#, Java or similar).
  • Good written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Familiarity with UML.
  • Knowledge of .NET WebServices and XML is advantageous
  • Knowledge of Progress OpenEdge
  • Development for 3 tier architecture environments
  • Knowledge of SQL Database utilization and tuning

Preferred application knowledge:

  • ERP system knowledge - especially knowledge of production, project or HRM.
  • Payroll system knowledge
