Veteran Celebrates 25 Year Anniversary in the IT Industry

Mark Information has been present since the infancy of the PC and is one of few software providers who have survived the turbulent development of the IT industry during the past 25 years. Ongoing product development and the understanding of customer needs have contributed to the company’s success ever since 1981.

Mark Information , which helps it customers collect precise, real-time production data, has existed since 1981 – initially with PC interface equipment and since the end of the 80s when the PCs entered the production floor with data collection as our specialty.

Today Mark Information is one of the leading providers of business critical systems for data collection and time recording in Europe with offices in Denmark, the UK, Sweden and Norway. In recent years, Mark Information has experienced a significant rise in the demand for its systems from companies that want to streamline their production environment, partly as a countermove to the competition from the low wage countries.

- With 25 years of experience, we are probably one of the absolute veterans in the IT industry. Throughout the years, we have made considerable investments in product development and built a solid understanding of the market which now bears fruit, says Paul Doherty, Managing Director in Mark Information UK Ltd.

From day one, Mark Information has been highly focused on its customers, which has lead to long standing customer relationships. Companies like Grundfos, Terma Elektronik and Electrolux have been customers since the beginning in 1981.

- We have just launched a new development project to make our ProMark solution even more dedicated to the needs of our customers: Reliable facts in real-time that provide immediate results on the production floor. We expect a great deal from this project which will ensure our position as leading provider to some of the largest European companies even for the next 25 years.

Improved ProMark Hotline Support

We are continually striving to improve our service to our customers and ensure having the right expertise among our Hotline Consultants.

From 1st January 2006, all ProMark hotline assistance was merged into one central unit in Denmark with 5 experienced and competent Consultants serving all our ProMark customers in Scandinavia and the UK.

The purpose of this change is to improve our service to all our customers in the form of better and faster reaction through improved capacity utilization and greater exchange of experience - we are making sure that we can offer the expertise our customers expect.

We have set up a dedicated 0845 hotline number in the UK (0845 602 7476) so customers can get straight through to the hotline.

We are also extending our staff and are happy to introduce our new colleague per 1 December 2005: Daniel Verhoeff. We even expect to add another resource during the first half of 2006.

ProMark User Group

A User Group has been initiated in the UK for ProMark users and the chairman is Mike Collier, Business Information Systems Manager for Hadley Industries Plc. Hadleys have been using ProAccess, ProTime, ProManagement and ProReport since 2003.

The next meeting is to be held on Thursday 15th June 2006 at Hadley’s offices in Smethwick, West Midlands. Invitations and input for the agenda will be sent out to all customers in the UK closer to the event.

New improved reporting module - ProReport II

Mark Information is very proud to announce the release of our new reporting tool ProReport II. This is a brand new product based on our experience from the existing product ProReport but with increased functionality that will enhance our customer's ability to share real time information, and make decisions based on real time facts. In short: The benefits from using ProMark will increase!

Some of the key features:

  • ProReport II is based on a brand new and modern base technology ensuring both customers and Mark Information a solid future platform including a series of advantages.
  • With ProReport II reporting is based on ’fresh’ data giving true real-time reflections of registered data, and a higher quality in the decision-making process.
  • Reports can be exported to PDF, Word as well as Excel for presentation, distribution and further analysing. HTML formats will be offered in future versions of the product.

New Country Manangers in Norvay and Sweden

We are happy to welcome Henrik Trolle as our new Country Manager in Sweden. Henrik has an impressive track record and has built up a background that fits very well with Mark Information's strategies: He has a double Civil Engineering degree from Linköping in MRP Science Material and Production Planning) and in Logistics, and he has worked with Intentia for 9 years between 1995 to 2004 and with Capgemini (SAP) for 2 years from 2004.

We are very pleased to welcome Erik Ihle who has assumed the position of Manager of our ProMark operations in Norway - heading our office in Oslo. Erik Ihle leaves a position as Key Account Manager with Oracle where he has worked since 1995. He is Master of Engineering from NTNU and has an MBA from McGill in Canada. He has also worked as Project Engineer in Kværner Engineering.

TNT
Mark Information UK Ltd has won a major contract with TNT Logistics UK Ltd to provide a Time & attendance solution for 10,000 employees across 100 sites in the UK!

The deal includes the following ProMark modules: ProTime, ProManagement and an initial installation of ProAccess at the TNT Branston site and over 120 LAN terminals.

We were selected from an extensive evaluation and review of T&A suppliers in the UK.

Danish Defense
The Danish Defense has installed one of the largest SAP systems in Europe, with ProMark as the software for mission critical data collection.

Carlsberg
"We want a specialist solution that offers the functionality we need to optimise our work processes. The ProMark solution is designed for integration with SAP systems, so we expect implementation to be simple.
