A ProJob user group was held at Jydsk Aluminium Industri in Herning on 11 June 2008.

The atmosphere was good as the group settled down to serious business right from the early morning, starting with a "roundtable discussion". Discussions touched on the service level of the Customer Support and the differences and advantages of the new and old ProMark versions. The group was in fine spirits; the whole thing seemed to be have been organised extremely well.

The only cloud in the sky worth mentioning was the fact that so few people had responded to their invitations to user group meetings despite several major ProMark customers being located in the immediate vicinity of JAI. Several speakers expressed wishes that Mark Information should take a proactive approach to re-launching the user groups to stress their importance and popularity.

Registrering

Birgitte Butzkowsky’s presentation of JAI and the way the company used ProMark was extremely inspiring. Both during and after an extremely relevant presentation the participants asked many interesting and searching questions.

After the presentation no-one was in any doubt that JAI makes the optimum use of ProMark, is closely familiar with the system and finds it extremely motivating to disseminate this knowledge to other ProMark users. Among other things, Birgitte handed out materials prepared by JAI for introductory and training purposes in the use of ProMark.

There was no doubt that she caused an impression. All the other participants were visibly impressed both by the presentation and the materials distributed, and Birgitte had to promise to email digital versions of the materials to the participants.

In general, the group felt that there should have been a contribution from a Mark Information consultant – on previous occasions such contributions have been received extremely positively, almost as though they were viewed as a kind of training. Mark Information was clearly urged to ensure there was a consultant contribution at the next meeting.

Several of the participants spoke of it being good to know that there were experienced members such as JAI in the group when they were to commission new parts of the system, such as ProReport.

Then it was time for a tour of JAI – this part was in itself enough to get their representatives to enrol in all user groups. Seeing a complete production from A to Z is extremely exciting, irrespective of whatever else might be involved. Birgitte guided the group around the whole production process with an expert hand, including past every single Mark terminal. She and others illustrated and demonstrated how ProMark is used everywhere in the company. I drifted away from the group once or twice – I was simply so fascinated by the experience of seeing extremely traditional, manual production combined with ultra-modern robotic technology.

After the tour it was time for lunch - the menu of the day: Danish style potato hash with ALL THE TRAPPINGS!

Afterwards, we returned to discussions, drew conclusions and discussed freely. The discussions were not comprehensive but the representatives had one conclusion and one recommendation: Enrol in a relevant user group immediately – you won’t regret it!

Ulla B. Pollas – Marketing Manager
Mark Information A/S

Your representative distributed a little questionnaire to three of the participating companies to check on the benefits of membership of an user group:

  • There was general deep satisfaction with membership. Seeing other member companies and hearing about their use of ProMark - challenges and benefits.
  • The benefits of membership are contacts with equals who are available for questioning about possible problems.
  • Some of the participants are also members of other ProMark user groups.
  • Several of the participants asked for a chat function on Mark+
  • All participants were satisfied that a representative of Mark Information’s sales team is a regular participant in the user group meetings, and moreover everyone wants a consultant who can talk about news and the future of the system to attend every meeting.
